Our team was established in 2010 in response to research that found 1/5 patients presenting to the Alfred Emergency Psychiatric Services also had a history of harmful gambling behaviours. We created a service that caters to people with co-existing mental health and gambling harms and enhances the capacity of existing services to treat this group.

This service is available to Gambler’s Help counsellors, area mental health services, general practitioners, and private practitioners statewide.

• Comprehensive assessments, treatment recommendations, and linkages with other services.
• Supervision and consultation with specialists in the area of mental health and gambling harms
• In-service education sessions
